MommaLuv is a foundation that is committed to giving new babies a healthy and safe start, no matter where they were born. The foundation supports mothers in developing countries and helps them to provide their newborns with their basic needs. Founded 10 years ago by Mandy Ladan, the foundation is now active in Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania and South Africa.
Mommaluv believes that every woman is entitled to have a safe delivery we couldn't agree more! Women in Africa have a 33 higher lifetime risk of dying during labor. Hospitals are often far away and the maternity package is too expensive for some. Through the ‘Birth Project' MommaLuv helps expectant mothers to safely birth their child.
MommaLuv was born from the desire to symbolically give maternity gifts to mothers and babies who really need it.
