At Jara Precious Jewelry, we think it's important to keep our footprint as low as possible. That's why we only work with 100% recycled 18-karat gold, 100% recycled rose gold and 100% recycled sterling silver. We also only work with manufacturers who have a particularly good reputation in the industry and are known for their quality. By being as efficient as possible with our materials, they try to minimize our footprint.
Absolutely! Our jewelry comes in a beautiful box and on request we can add a handwritten card. Let us know upon your order which text we may add on the card. (there is a special field to fill in).

Our jewelry is made of recycled 925 sterling silver and plated with recycled Rhodium (silver), recycled 18- karat gold, or recycled rosé gold. These materials keep the jewelry beautiful and will help them maintain their color and shine. We work with recycled materials because at Jara Precious Jewelry we find it very important to keep our footprint as low as possible.
Our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver. 925 silver is an alloy : this means that it contains silver for 92,5% of which copper is added for 7,5%. We plate our silver with rhodium. Silver can discolor as a result of exposure to for example air, creams and perfumes and Rhodium helps to prevent that.
Our jewelry is not made of solid gold, our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver or gold vermeil. ( also read what is the difference between gold plated and gold vermeil?) Vermeil is always made with 925 sterling silver. On top of that a thick layer of 18-karat recycled gold or rosé gold. Vermeil wordt altijd gemaakt van 925 sterling zilver. Vermeil is a term that refers to 925 sterling silver with on top of that a thick layer of gold. With gold plated different materials can be used as a base and with vermeil this is always 925 sterling silver. We chose vermeil because of its quality and because also people with allergies can wear the jewelry.
Vermeil is higher quality than gold plated and therefore the jewelry will last longer. This has to do with the plated layer. With gold plating the layer is usually quite thin, it can be gold plated starting 0,5 micron, this easily wears off. Jewelry can use the term vermeil when the plated layer is at least 2,5 micron , this is a lot thicker and therefore the color will keep its beauty much longer. Another huge advantage is the base, this is always 925 sterling silver for vermeil so people with allergies can also wear it. Vermeil makes gold jewelry affordable. Vermeil jewelry is high quality without the high-quality price tag. With our jewelry you go for the golden look for a more affordable price.
No, there is no nickel in our jewelry.
Our jewelry is plated and will change color over time. Wear your jewelry with care to make sure they last longer. Our jewelry is not resistant to water, perfume, creams and for example cleaning products, so try to avoid exposure while you wear them.

We use 100% natural gemstones for all our gemstone jewelry. Each type of gemstone is unique and has unique characteristics. The effect of gemstones also differs per type. We work with moonstone for our maternity jewelry. A stone known as the stone of fertility and reproduction. Moonstone may provide support during pregnancy. The stone is connected with the feminine energy and may support a child's wish.
For our Always Mama Collection and Tiny Stars Collection we use rose quartz. This gentle and soothing beauty is known as the stone of love. The stone supports during pregnancy.
